Bank Austria Park: Natur- und Kunstoase an der Alten Donau
Zwischen Wiesen, Bäumen und der Alten Donau lädt der Bank Austria Park auf 28.000 m² dazu ein, 14 zeitgenössische Kunstwerke internationaler Künstler*innen zu entdecken. Faszinierende Skulpturen, klingende Windobjekte und kunstvoll gestaltete Sitzplätze machen den Spaziergang durch den Landschaftspark zu einem besonderen Erlebnis für alle Sinne.
Insgesamt wurden 150 neue Bäume gepflanzt, darunter Orientalische Platanen, Flatterulmen und Schwarzpappeln. Hinzu kommen 3.000 m², die mit Stauden und Sträuchern wie Hain-Salbei, Katzenminze, Kaukasus-Vergissmeinnicht gestaltet wurden. Auch für kleine Besucher*innen bietet der Park viel Platz zum Spielen – mit einer neuen Sandspielanlage und Kletterwelt auf rund 400 m².
Bank Austria Park: An Oasis of Nature and Art by the Old Danube
Tucked between meadows, trees and the Old Danube, the 28,000 m² Bank Austria Park invites you to discover 14 contemporary works of art by international artists. Fascinating sculptures, instruments that produce sound with the wind and artfully designed seating areas make a stroll through the landscaped park a special experience for all the senses.
A total of 150 new trees have been planted, including oriental plane trees, European white elms and black poplars. In addition, perennials and shrubs such as wood sage, catnip and forget-me-not cover 3,000 m² of the park. The green oasis also offers plenty of space for younger visitors to play – with a new sandpit and climbing area spanning more than 400 m².

Der Bank Austria Park an der Alten Donau in der Mühlschüttelzone soll als Ort der Schönheit, der Inspiration, des Friedens, der Heilung, der höchsten botanischen und künstlerischen Qualität den Menschen aller Altersgruppen, Ausbildungsgrade sowie jeglicher Herkunft gewidmet sein. Sie können dort auszittern, freie Zeit verbringen, Sport betreiben oder sich der Muse hingeben.
Wien, eine der grünsten Städte der Welt, fügt somit ihren Schattenplätzen und Oasen der Kühle weitere hinzu, die alle Besucherinnen und Besucher zum Staunen und Genießen einladen. Verwirklicht wurde das Projekt durch die Zusammenarbeit der Stadt Wien und der Bank Austria, kuratiert von André Heller, dessen erfolgreiche Gartengestaltungen in Afrika, Asien und Europa Grundlagen seiner diesbezüglichen Erfahrungen sind.

The Bank Austria Park, located directly by the Old Danube in the Mühlschüttel area, is intended to be a place of beauty, inspiration, peace, healing and the highest botanical and artistic quality, designed to welcome people of all ages, educational levels and backgrounds. This is a spot in which to unwind, spend leisure time, play sports or simply daydream.
With this addition to what is already one of the greenest cities in the world, Vienna has now created even more shady spots and cool oases in which all visitors are invited to come and marvel, relax and enjoy.
The project was realized through a collaboration between the City of Vienna and Bank Austria, curated by André Heller, whose successful garden designs in Africa, Asia and Europe form the basis of his experience in this field.

Der rund 28.000 Quadratmeter große Bank Austria Park befindet sich im 21. Bezirk, zwischen Mühlschüttelgasse und Drygalskiweg, am linken Ufer der Oberen Alten Donau. Du erreichst den Park bequem und umweltfreundlich:
- mit der Buslinie 33A bis zur Station Mühlschüttel
- zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad über den Donauuferweg

The approximately 28,000-square-metre Bank Austria Park is located in the 21st district, between Mühlschüttelgasse and Drygalskiweg, on the left bank of the Upper Old Danube. There are several convenient and environmentally friendly ways to reach the park:
- take bus line 33A to the Mühlschüttel stop
- walk or cycle along the Danube riverside path
